Gosh, there seem to be some very strong opinions against putting up split files, sorry to have mentioned it...

Christopher, don't apologise, it's a perfectly fair point of view. Also, please don't misunderstand what's being said: the opposition is to re-uploading split files which duplicate existing single-file uploads. No one is complaining about, or is against, original uploads of recordings which have been tracked into separate files before the upload. In fact, personally I prefer to do that with my uploads.

I split an mp3 file for the first time a few days ago (for the excerpts of Stikhin's Homer ballet) with the free software called "Free Audio Editor" - it's dead easy once you work out which buttons to click! A couple of minutes trial and error and I'd cracked it!  ;D
