More than tongue-in-cheek, Ilja.  Did you notice that the principal theme of the finale is actually the theme of the slow movement, only sped up? :D

Indeed, Jim. I have just listened to Von Sauer’s PC1 again, and strangely enough I cannot remember that I've noticed it before. By the way, what a beautiful larghetto (a Cavatina too  ;)).

Who is familiar with Von Sauer’s PC2?
