Edward Maurice Isaacs  Born  14.7.1881 Manchester  Died  31.7.1953 Manchester

The son of Isaac Asher Isaacs, Secretay to the local synagogue and his wife Annie.

Edward first studied music at The Royal Manchester College and subsequently in Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg and Leipzig. He was principally a piano recitalist. For the last thirty years of his life he was Musical Director of the Manchester Mid-Day Concerts, He was totally blind from 1924 though he continued to perform.

Piano Concerto  1907 The music for this is lost. Only an off air recording from a November 1952 broadcast exists.

Is anything known about the performers on the off air recording of the piano concerto? I find it intriguing (or curious?) that the music should have become lost after it was played so long after its composition.
Might there be any descendants alive today?
