I think the cream of Foerster is really in his Symphony No 4,the opera 'Eva',if you're prepared to splash out on it,or can find it a reasonable price,( with the current interest in Foerster,you'd think Supraphon would have the brains to release it) , the Violin Concerto's and orchestral suites.
I really do think a man,or woman,for that matter,should be judged by their best work.
Still,kudo's to  MDG for giving us a chance to hear his other music.
Now if they could just get round to the unrecorded works of Vitezslav  Novak & Jaromir Weinberger!
