As long as the average finale of Bruckner's 3rd as performed by Knappertsbusch...

(the scherzo is in -3rd- place, which rather spoils the effect and makes one look for another explanation, easily found. Then one remembers that while the opening movement of Bruckner's 9th has misterioso, it's Feierlich misterioso - Bruckner would have had a lot of revising of not just the finale to change the 9th that much. Easier to suppose it's just a misprint for the 3rd, like a still-existing CD recording of his "symphony no. 7 in E minor".)
