In case anybody is interested, a CD of Georg Schumann's songs, which I recorded with the soprano Mary Nelson, has just been released by Stone Records. It's available on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/G-Schumann-Lieder-Records-5060192780796/dp/B077MT8H1C/.

I have a great passion for Schumann's music. I previously recorded his complete choral works with my choir, The Purcell Singers. These discs are quite hard to find now, but there are a few copies still knocking about and both are now available in MP3 format and via streaming. The first was issued on ASV in 2000: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Georg-Schumann-Choral-Mark-Ford/dp/B00004VXDV/. The second was on Guild in 2007: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jersualem-hochgebaute-Stadt-G-Schumann/dp/B000TZMAYA/.

I would love to hear what you think of the music and the discs. I think some of his works are masterpieces and feel he has been very unjustly neglected.

I take my hat off to you! Let's hope the new CD has the success that this rather fine composer's music deserves.
