Manually adjusting ranks and number of postings
« on: Tuesday 30 June 2009, 06:38 »
Dear monitors;

Is there any way to adjust the members' rankings and number of postings manually so that they reflect contributions from both forum servers?  For instance, if a member had 150 postings on the old forum and 15 postings on the new forum, then his number of postings would be 165.  Rankings (new, junior, senior, etc.) would be adjusted according.

A good suggestion but the straight answer is that I have no idea. Firstly I'll have to see if I can retrieve the rankings from the old Raff Forums and then if I can manually adjust those in this one. Leave it with me, please.

After almost a month, I'm afraid that I have to report that it can't be done. Whilst I can manually adjust each member's total posts, as soon you make another post the total is changed back to that just for this forum. Heigh ho..

Oh, well.  Best to make a fresh start where we're at. :)
