I just wanted to bring attention to this composers' Concertante Piece for piano and orchestra ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzvDnq5pQKM) while it's only a little over 6 minutes long, it sure the heck packs a punch! full throttle romantic mini concerto movement Lovely stuff :) I know some of his music may not qualify for this forum. But I'm sure this does.

Just wanted to bring attention to this composer that is all. :)

Hello dear friends,

Not sure if this merits a new thread. but I came across this lovely piece by Jaques-Dalcroze on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgcrLL62C5c for violin and piano. I'm having the hardest time identifying what's the op. number  or if it's part of a larger work?  ultimately I want to figure  if this piece has been released in a recording already, because I want to have it! such a beautiful piece. Thank you all, any help will be appriciated!

Composers & Music / Rare Composers video on YouTube
Saturday 30 June 2018, 08:32
I just came across an amazing video on Youtube that blew me away! displaying a numerous amount of obscure composers with introduction to their music in small enticing tidbits. The majority of the composers illustrated of Romantic vein. Published by ClassicalMusic2  The link to the video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXSpmq3zVro . It's 15 mins. long but oh so worth it!

Apologies in advance if this has been brought up before in these threads . I checked briefly but didn't see anything. I can't attest to his other videos but this one hits home for me a fellow Raff and romantic unsung composer fan.

Hi Everybody. For the past few months I've been tinkering with the  Idea of  transcribing unsung Symphonies that have not been recorded into virtual Music. I'm not sure if the Technology exists yet. I know there is MIDI formats but I believe the sound is not Fully orchestral I also heard of Sibelius.. Yet I am not sure if the music that one produces out of it is Convincingly real.. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I Just Checked www.recordsinternational.com to see the August Catalogue and found this new Cd Set By Genesis Label .. the pianist is Adrian Ruiz.. It's not a reissue from old Lp Material, but new stuff.. looks to be a good Set.

Aside from Hiller the other disc that could be ok is Herzogenberg's Piano Quintet in C Op.17 and his last String Quartet in Fminor Op.63 on CPO Label, in the same August Catalogue.

I'm still very anxiously awaiting for Gernsheim's Piano Quintets.. I hope they come out soon!
