Hello curious ones !
I ran into this little mystery while comparing sources.
In this album recorded ages ago by Jean Doyen, it lists one track as being a 3rd Hahn Etude, when Hahn's catalogue only knows 2.  The third piece certainly sounds like an étude, but assuredly not by Hahn.
Any piano specialist could have a clue ?
Thanks for your help !

It is Hahn's Mignouminek, composed in 1943. Mignouminek was the name of Hahn's dog.
This work was recently recorded by Nathanaël Gouin. I did not know that it has been already recorded by Doyen.

This is a very interesting case. Maybe Hahn personally allowed (or unconsciously through someone in the middle) Doyen to play this work. But since this work was never discovered thereafter, the later generations just couldn't decided what it is for a while!

I guess no one knew ! But the false title of "3rd Etude" on Doyen's album raised my curiosity....
Thanks so much for solutionning this mystery !
(By the way, Nathanael Gouin presents his recording as a "world premiere" of the work.  Not sure he was himself aware of Doyen's recording.)
