The conductor of this album, Lena-Lisa Wüstendörfer, will be leading concert operations at the Andermatt Music Hall in Switzerland starting in 2022. With the Swiss Orchestra, she will have three program levels of concerts for at least five years, including unsung Swiss symphonic pieces.

My guess is that this lines up with Raff's 200th birthday.

Good news. The two Op.199 songs will be released very soon. No. 1 and No. 2 will be available December 12th 2025 and January 23rd 2026, respectively as singles on Spotify and Qobuz. Then they will be released together on February 20th, 2026.

News to me, but welcome news all the same. The first song, Die Jägerbraut, is on YouTube here.

What are you thoughts on it, Mark?

Die Jägerbraut, (The huntsman's bride) is a very poetic creation by Raff, which is matched by an interpretation with is faithful to the score and tells the story clearly. I'm looking forward to its companion piece, Die Hirtin (The shepherdess).
