Julius Benedict.
As part of the largest Benedict festival for over 60 years the BBC will be broadcast a choral evensong which will feature choruses and arial from Benedict's cantata 'The Legend of St Cecilia sung by the Choir of St Martin-in the-Fields . Broadcast on Sunday 19 July.

There is the largest festival of Benedict's music for over 60 years which is to to be held on 19th-24th July this will include his rarely heard second piano concerto. The music director is Adrian Bradbury.

There is a website for the festival which gives full details 'Music in the Burnham'

Edit: his string quartet in C minor, Op.87 (no.2? The string quartet Op.87 I'm aware of is in G minor!) is being performed on 20 July. I hope a recording will ensue- just as I hope someone, maybe the Free Library of Philadelphia, will upload the parts of the work to IMSLP sometime...)
