Richard Flury orchestral music volume 6

[eschiss1]

To be released 3 July 2026, this recording of Richard Flury's music from Toccata, with his 5th symphony (1956) and his "Im Altisberg, Symphonische Suite für Orchester".

From the soundbites, this sounds like an interesting release. The 5th symphony (his 7th in order of composition) has already been recorded by the Berner Stadtorchester under Hans Haug, but this new recording apparently takes a somewhat broader approach, which I think will suit the music very well. However, I'm at least as curious about the Im Altenberg suite (1953), which judging from the snippets sounds like a gorgeous bit of sonic nature-painting.
