The Russian 1988 recording has a lot of added percussion and not based on the original manuscript.
The concert and recording in 2021 will be based on the original manus.

Thanks Friedhofer.
The usual Russian custom to add extra percussion - a theme we already discussed in earlier threads in connection with Scriabin's Symphonies and Tchaikovsky's "Manfred"...

Of all choir works in the whole literature I only adore Beethoven's Missa Solemnis as much as this Kozlovsky Requiem (well, maybe also Brahms' Requiem)!! I still remember how I first heard it about 3 years ago for the first time - it shattered me in my innermost being! It is a miracle and I cannot believe that this composer has not written anything else noteworthy ...)

There is an LP on the way to me with Overtures, perhaps there is something among them too :-)
