Here's something I didn't notice and is already released- not even quite sure I knew of the piece. The Requiem (1965-7) opus 96 of Mieczyslaw Weinberg, performed on the NEOS label (see http://www.mdt.co.uk/MDTSite/product/NEOS11127.htm e.g.)
(Yes, I know it's as much a "Requiem" in the traditional sense as Kabalevsky's - which I haven't heard yet either - or Tishchenko's - which I have heard and at least am fairly strongly guessing is not based on the texts of the Mass propers for the dead- just repeating the title and am assuming that a work from around that time in Weinberg's life (contemporary with the trumpet concerto e.g.) that he put two years into is worth some of my attention :) )

The cd of Weinberg's Requiem popped through my letter-box this morning so I should be able to report back soon :)
