The World of H. C. Andersen (Bortkiewicz...) - Tomoko Takanashi CD

I found these CDs on emusic a few days ago and wanted to know if anybody has heard of the pianist.

I have the CDs - they have been along since Hans Christian Andersen's bicentenary in 2005. Unfortunately I don't know much about the pianist apart from what it says in the booklet: she is (obviously) Japanese, but based in Denmark and generally an active participant in Danish musical life. The music on the CDs is almost exclusively piano miniatures inspired in one way or another by Andersen's fairy tales. Unassuming but charming. Two suites by Bowen and Bortkiewicz are a bit more substantial than the rest. To my amateur ears Takanashi's playing is fine. A nice pair of CDs if you like piano miniatures.
