Mercadante: I Briganti

Good news for Mercadante enthusiasts, of whom I'm one: Naxos has released a recording of his 1836 Parisian opera I Briganti. Generous audio extracts, the booklet notes and full cast details of this live recording are at ClassicsOnline here. First impressions are that both the vocal and orchestral contributions are quite solid. We'll see.
