On April 17th at The National Portrait Gallery, London, there will be a performances of some very rarely heard works including 'Goodbye'  by Tosti.  All the works concerned have some relationship to the Sargent exhibition.  Henry Roche, a direct descendant of Ignaz Moscheles is one of the performers.

There is a recording of Tosti's "Goodbye" by Ben Heppner on his beautiful Tosti DGG recital disc - and another one by José Carreras made as early as 1979 (also reissued on CD).

If I get some ones answering machine too often, I leave this recording playing for them.  It usually does the trick.

I am happy to report that the above concert is now fully booked.  The performers are prepared to repeat the concert if a venue can be found.
