Coming a bit late to the party, I know, but I have just finished listening to this and it really is a great piece, excellently sung and played, and favoured with an fine recording and the usual high quality Palazzetto Bru Zane booklet. I wasn't expecting something quite so dramatic and exciting as this from Godard but, my word, he pulled out all the stops on this one! French opera at it's best!

Unbelievable! Dante is going to be staged next year!!! March 8th, 10th and 12th in St. Etienne. I've got my tickets.


They've also got Isouard's Cendrillon in the programme.
