Grainger went pretty loopy later on, at least in his musical theories. He should have stuck to arranging pretty folk melodies, in my humble opinion.

My mom played Scott on the piano while  was growing up, and I never forgot it. I haven't had much opportunity to do his larger works, but I've played Cherry Ripe and Tallahassee Suite a few times.

Having just read this thread, I obviously need to turn off my Artie Shaw and listen again to Scott's symphonies.....
