Fortunately, for those of us who don't have the CDs, there's a good selection of Mayseder's music on YT, including part of the 3rd VC at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1rgoBWHGVs

It all certainly bears out the enthusiasm expressed here.  :)

As well as this series of three CDs/Downloads on the Gramola label, there's a recording of Mayseder's Violin  Sonata No.1 coupled with Beethoven's Kreutzer Sonata here, and vol.4 of the Gramola series, with String Quartet No.2 and String Quintet No.2, is due out any day now in the UK, but already available direct from the label itself here (with audio extracts).

Vol. 4 from Gramola has been out for a while now, containing a string quartet and a string quintet:

....and I now see Vol. 5 on the horizon, with several chamber pieces.  The disc is listed on Gramola's own site, but oddly enough, the only other place I see it so far is Amazon USA, with a July 19 release date. It appears that the usual places - Presto, Europadisc, Archiv, etc. - only list the first 4 cd's in the series at this point.

Excellent news, Mike.
This is truly the era of the Unsung Composer - at least as far as commercial recordings goes!

Gramola label continues their Mayseder series, volume 6 is due out at the beginning of the new year.  Two Piano Trios and a Violin Sonata.  I only see it at Amazon [USA] at this point.

Amazon's blurb:

"The Viennese violin virtuoso Joseph Mayseder (1789-1863) is today considered an insider tip, he played under the baton of Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert and wrote an impressive number of own compositions. More than 900 printed editions of his works in European countries and abroad illustrate the popularity of Mayseder, which nonetheless seemed to vanish over the course of time. His works are now continually being published as world premiere recordings by violinist Raimund Lissy, member of the Vienna Philharmonic. The sixth edition of this series with Gramola featuring Mayseders oeuvre includes the Piano Trios Nr. 1 in B-flat major, Op. 34 and Nr. 2 in A-flat major, Op. 52 as well as the Sonata for Violin and Piano Nr. 2 in E minor. The musicians Srebra Gelleva, piano, Maria Grun, cello and Raimund Lissy, violin, splendidly succeed in merging these works high virtuosity with the typical Biedermeier Viennese charm."

Very good news indeed. I was hoping that this series would get around to the piano trios at some time........!

I don't see it @ Presto Classical yet either, but Naxos Direct does have a listing for the soon-to-be release. (Hrm, the performance is mentioned in a May 2018 news entry at the Sangerknaben's own site :) - op.64, composed and premiered in 1848, regularly performed until 1940, rediscovered more recently (presumably lost after WWII bombings??) by Vienna Philharmonic member Raimund Lissy (since it was actually published in 1866 by Wessely, I'm guessing what was published was the vocal score and what was discovered was the performing parts...)

According to Naxos, not Lissy but Thomas Christian is soloist in the concerto.

That's also what it says on Gramola's own website – where both the CD and downloads are available.
