...and with that, back to the subject of this thread, please...

Quite a few years ago, the piano concerto of Henryk Bobinski caught the attention of many on this site, including mine.  However only its first movement was recorded, and posted on youtube (here - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ito4gxnvo18).

I see that its second and third movements have now been put up on youtube, albeit as a computer simulation (although I think the piano is real?).  It sounds to be a beautiful work indeed, and definitely one that the recording companies should take into consideration:

This was on Hyperion's list of PCs to record.
I agree - it is a very beautiful work.

Which list is this Gareth? Is it something you can share?  Sounds very promising!!

@Darrel Hoffman - apologies, I've just noticed that this is one of yours.  It's wonderful!

It was just a list of possible concerti that Mike Spring had, when he ran the RPC series for Hyperion. But it's all academic now since Universal took over Hyperion and killed off the RPC series - along with everything else that was individual and innovative about that label.

Think Naxos might start/continue such a series? They arguably have the beginnings of one.

AM trying to find what else is recorded by Bobinski - there's a serenade (3 mins), and an andante doloroso (11 mins) both for solo piano, both on youtube, but I can't find anything else.  Nothing on chomikuj.pl either.
