Reinecke's string quartets got a fair amount of play on this forum - now Naxos has a "Complete Cello-Piano" disc on the horizon, Amazon shows March 8 release.  The 3 cello sonatas are already well-represented on both cpo and MDG, but there's a cd-filler entitled "3 Pieces for Cello & Piano, op. 146" which, at first glance/search (and admittedly a quick one) I don't see represented in previous mainstream recordings.   I'm sure if that's incorrect, this will be the place that sets the record straight!

All three of Reinecke's cello sonatas were recorded on CPO CD 999 342 by Hermann and Sasaki. First class works and the performances were very convincing, in my opinion. Op.146, the Three Pieces was recorded on a Fermata CD 20021 by Blees and Bergmann. Also a good work and performance.
