The Palazzetto Bru Zane is announcing the release, for late August, of the recording of Le Timbre d'Argent, recorded 3 years ago at the Paris Opéra-Comique, in its exciting collection of French Opera.  Just a bit in advance for the Saint-Saëns anniversary.....

I can''t wait, his Ascanio is easily one of the best unsung operas I've ever heard(and I've heard plenty)so if Le Timbre d'Argent is half as good as that I'm happy.

To sample it you'll find the radio broadcast is in the downloads section, Kevin!

As Le Timbre d'Argent is now available commercially, or will be very soon, I've removed the downloaded files from mediafire.

The new release is not the same  as  the deleted radio recording here. Palazzetto Bru Zane have treated us to a wonderful studio recording which is just a dream to listen to!
