The Prospero label will release an album of early Fritz Brun chamber pieces: the E flat String Quartet from 1898 and the 1st Violin Sonata in D minor, from 1906.  Artists: Manuel Quartett, Stefan Meier & Alexander Ruef.

Amazon UK & USA show 5 Nov release, as download only, at least at this point in time.  No listing yet at Presto.   I tried to find a blurb on Prospero's own website, to copy/paste here, but nothing to be found.

Yes, it's odd that the CD does not show up on the label's own website even though it was released (in Switzerland, where Prospero is based) on 3 September.

Swiss radio SRF2 has broadcast the string quartet yesterday. They also praised the pioneering recording project of Adriano.

In my experience many labels' websites are slow in updating their catalogues/advertising new releases. All very odd!

I suspect it's because many of the smaller labels are one man bands.

Alan Howe

Very likely. But if they wanted to sell their recordings you'd think that advertising them would be super-important.

Agreed. I've seen them mentioned on Presto Classical and been intrigued, as I recall, but they could use more advertisement than that.
