This is interesting as we have very little of Rudorff's orchestral output. This overture, first  published in 1868, is fairly conventional, though thoroughly enjoyable, with only the occasional hint of the more radical rhythmic wildness that characterises his much later 3rd Symphony (pub. 1910).
