Robert Kahn: Jools Holland strikes again!

[Alan Howe]

Jools Holland's Saturday lunchtime programme 'Earlier...' has done it again! I missed the beginning of his interview with David Ogilvy, a descendant of the composer Robert Kahn (1865-1951), but it featured some intriguing (and sad) background on Kahn who evidently left Germany in 1939 and came to live in Kent (south-east England).

Here's the Wikipedia article about the composer:

There are several threads on his music elsewhere on this forum. Kudos, though, to Jools Holland!

Ah, I've only known JH from his band "Squeeze", and the show "Later".  Seems he's a varied and well-informed musician.
