Hugo Kaun - Adagio from Symphony No 2

[Reverie]

Here is my rendition of the Adagio from Kaun's 2nd Symphony.

A lot of notes - but gorgeous!

Oh, I've been curious about this for a while - thanks!

By the way, there seems to be a digital rendering of Kaun's first symphony (and the first piano concerto) available on this page, but I've had no success in my attempts to order it. There's also one on Youtube (of the symphony) but it's rather horrid.

Oh, I've came across this site. The simulations they are selling are definitely below my "listenable" line...
And there's a Kaun Sym 1 simulation on YT made by Musica Obscuram. His products do not sound exceptionally good but are still quite listenable.

In the end, I consider both below that "listenable" line, being clearly older renditions. The technology has clearly moved on quite a lot since they were made, as Martin's effort shows.

This conversation prompted me to listened to the whole simulation of the first symphony on YT. I really love it though its two latter movements could have been longer. I can only hope CPO will release another Kaun symphony disc...
