Alfano chamber music new (non-premiere...) recordings

[eschiss1]

A new recording, made in 2023 and released very recently, with Franco Alfano's piano quintet (1945) and concerto for violin, cello and piano (alone) (1929, premiered 1930), was released by Brilliant Classics maybe 5 days ago. These works have already been released in other recordings a few decades ago on 2 separate recordings on Naxos*, so - not premieres - and those earlier recordings should be, hopefully, audible on YouTube. (Also, there's absolutely nothing wrong, the contrary, with recording music more than once, or even more often than that. )

The Brilliant Classics recording of the concerto takes 31 minutes, the Naxos recording takes 28'24. The piano quintet on Brilliant Classics is 30', the Naxos recording coupled with the violin sonata takes 29'.
