Very attractive works, with a 'singing' quality in the writing that strikes me as authentically Italian.

I wonder why this recent release hasn't appeared on streaming platforms yet.

Some labels have a later release date on streaming services, thus create an exclusive period for physical discs.
If you have to listen, the Fano Sonata-fantasia has been recorded by Tactus, available for streaming. The R. Caetani violin sonata seems to be a premiere though.

[Tapiola]

Yes, I've been waiting for the Caetani the most. I was very delighted by his two string quartets, so I have high hopes for his sonata too.

There seems to have been a limited-edition recording of the violin sonata (ah, actually from a 1966 RAI broadcast) and at least part of his opera Hypatia (apparently a 1958 recording) released together way back in 2001 (https://search.worldcat.org/title/1116390300) but I haven't heard any of it.

[Mark Thomas]

So far, this recording is only on CD but, for those (like me) waiting for the digital release, mp3s can be bought at Amazon.

[Tapiola]

The recording already appears on YouTube.

Thanks for heads-up, Tapiola.

[eschiss1]

Ah, thanks.
