Choo Hoey (1934-2025)

[eschiss1]

Conductor (and also trained violinist) Choo Hoey, who conducted the Marco Polo/Records International recordings of Ippolitov-Ivanov's symphony, Lachner's first symphony (with Spohr's 2nd), Respighi's Concerto Gregoriano, and other things, died on the 11th, aged 90.

I have several of those. My first hearing of a Lachner symphony was the 1st (with Hoey).
