Is anyone familiar with Ɓukasz Borowicz/Poznan Phil.'s recording of Nowowiejski's piano and cello concertos (Opp.60 in D minor, 55 in E minor?) (from 2023, with Jacek Kortus and Bartosz Koziak)? (See eg Presto Music; I found them streaming on Amazon Music myself.)

I know this disc and there is another short thread dedicated to it. Alan said that the piano concerto was a bit too "full on" for him. I know what he means and see that I borrowed this phrase in the review I did for Amazon.co.uk a few months ago. ( I'm someonewhocares2. )

( If you like my review perhaps you'd mark it as "useful"! I usually review unsung music and don't get a lot of "usefuls" these days...probably a reflection of just how specialised the area of music which interests us is. Either that or my reviews are useless! )

Ah thanks, searched for the thread here but wasn't able to find it. (Edit: also, I have an account at Amazon.com but not at Amazon.co.uk so may not be able to be much help necessarily there.)

Thanks. BTW Presto claims it's the cello, not the piano, concerto that's nicknamed "Slavic".

Well, I can only say I don't like the PC. It's quite odd. I also need to bring up the YT Polish music score-video maker JacobNX's (now Polish Scores) notice that this new recording of the PC is still cut somewhere.

Your review is excellent,  thorough and informative, and got a "Helpful" from me. I can't say that either piece was to my taste, but it's some time since I listened to either of them.

Thank you, Mark. It's not a disc which visits my player often too.
