A must buy for me – looking forward to comparing Jūra and Miške to other recordings.

There are a few recordings of both, but I'm curious to hear these as well. The more so since they contain separate tracks for their various sections: probably a consequence of the demands of getting streaming revenue, but welcome nonetheless.

I'd love to see a few other recordings of Čiurlionis' lesser-known works as well, though, such as the Kęstutis overture, the short cantata De Profundis, and the symphonic poem Dies Irae - Čiurlionis' last work, reconstructed by Giedrius Kuprevičius a few years ago.

Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla conducted Jūra in Berlin recently. She was also invited to discuss the work in the Deutschlandfunk Kultur show ,,Interpretationen". There she told about the reconstruction of the original version which she performed and recorded. All former recordings were based on revised editions by later composers such as Vytautas Bacevičius.

Hi Ilja - is there a complete recording of Dies Irae? The only one I found was on youtube here but in the comments section it says "This recording lacks the last four minutes; the complete one is also on Youtube, though, and it's been uploaded by the guy responsible for the reconstruction, Giedrius Kuprevicius: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMMC8hN5PPA" - however that link is dead. And it indeed at the end of that youtube recording it is clearly cut short.

There is a complete recording, which I have (and which totals just over half an hour). I'll check where I got it from (it's been a while).

Sorry, I forgot to follow up. The whole thing can be heard at and downloaded from Giedrius Kuprevičius' website. Scroll down to about halfway down the page.
