Thanks to Dundonnell for the catalogue & discography of Reznicek's works.
To judge by the presence of no less than three Raskolnikoff overtures, he seems to have had a fixation on Crime & Punishment...:-)
#6
My thanks  to herrarte for Serov's The Zaporozhye Cossacks!
#7
Those interested in E. Stikhin's music may wish to check in the intoclassics.net website, which has his Doctor Zhivago Symphonic Fantasia.
#8
Thanks to herrarte for the Tchaicovsky compilation. Those are really hard-to-find pieces! It was fun to listen to the Shebalin "intrusion" in the 1812 ouverture.
No problem whatsoever with the download.

Thanks to A.S. for the beautiful Peteris Barisons Symphony no. 2.
It does more than justice to its name (Romantic).
Could we have more Barisons, please!

QuoteI will try to post then tomorrow.

Sorry about 'La Patria chica' but my memory was at fault, the recording I have is the one that Ataulfo Argenta did in 1958, that has been issued in CD. But if you are interested in Chapi, you can find in youtube the complete opera 'La muerte de Garcilaso', an absolute rarity.

Don't worry, rbert (and thanks anyway). Since I am still in the neighbourhood of Madrid, I will try to get the Argenta commercial version.

Thanks to A.S. for providing new insights into Spanish composers I knew absolutely nothing about.
I will download these works next week, after I get home (finally!).

Thanks to reiger for the Arensky. I had the Lp and i am surprised that such beautiful music has not been re-recorded in its totality. A must for Arensky fans!

Renewed thanks to rbert12 for the rare repertoire. I'm currently travelling in Spain & have secured tickets to Moreno Torroba's La Chulapona at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. Any chance of getting some very "unsung" zarzuelas on this forum?

As usual, my thanks to rbert12 for opening still more vistas of virtually unknown compositions by Spanish musicians.
