Does anyone have any insights into how this compares with the earlier complete piano music recording on Genesis with Adrian Ruiz?

I also have to say that i've yet to hear a piece by Goetz that I don't like!

There's also a recording by Giovanna Gatto on Volume 1 of the complete piano music on Toccata Classics.

Interesting news of a concert at the York Late Music festival:

Saturday 6th April, 1:00pm - Amabile: Lesley Schatzberger (clarinet), Nicola Tait Baxter (cello) & Paul Nicholson (piano)
The Schatzberger players bring the distinctive blend of clarinet, cello and piano to life with the combination of iconic trios by Brahms and Louise Farrenc.

I also like the piano concerto however, I used to have one of the Marco Polo discs of solo piano music and I found it dull and uninteresting.  That said, the Marco Polo disc of his Liszt transcriptions is superb.  It's about time I gave that a spin again!

Quote from: Alan Howe on Saturday 02 December 2023, 11:04...micro-managers among today's conductors who can't see the (complete) wood for (all the individual) trees. If you get my meaning...

Alan, we'd better pray they never try Raff's 3rd then!

I won't be buying this one either!
