Those who have access to the BBC Music magazine will find that the free CD with the November issue is of Florence Price's Symphony 3 in C minor and the Concert Overture 1, together with two works by other composers not relevant in this forum.
The performances are BBC recordings from 2019, the Symphony by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales conducted by Valentina Peleggi, and the Overture by the BBC Symphony Orchestra conducted by Michael Seal.
My copy arrived today, but I have not had the opportunity of listening to it yet.

Following Toccata Classics' successful and enjoyable issue of the Ashton Cello Sonatas, an article by Patrick Webb on the Musicweb-International website (www.musicweb-international.com) indicates that Toccata is planning to record Ashton's three Piano Trios.
Although these works are unknown to most, the article certainly whets the appetite for the issue and I, for one, cannot wait!

Composers & Music / Eduard Marxsen
Monday 01 April 2013, 17:47
Recent mention of Friedrich Brahms prompts me to ask whether anyone is aware of recordings (other than the CPO piano recital) of music by Eduard Marxsen, to whom Johannes Brahms dedicated his Piano Concerto 2.
He appears to have written five symphonies - candidates for CPO's admirable symphonies series perhaps?
