Title: Josef Venantius von Wöss (1863-1943)
Post by: Simon on Thursday 14 December 2017, 01:05
I'm looking for details about Josef Venantius von Wöss. I'm mostly interested in his chamber music, and I would really like to find his Quintet Op. 53a. He worked for Universal Edition and arranged for piano music by Bruckner and Mahler. Here is a complete list of his works :

If you have any idea where I could find his manuscripts, leave a word here!

Thanks!

There's a few manuscripts including a quartet in F, an opera, a Te Deum @ ÖNB.  His piano sextet Op.46 in score & parts is also @ ÖNB (published version).

(They even have a published vocal score made by him of Janacek's Jenufa, btw :) and arrangements of Grechaninov songs, or something (or editions/revisions of works without changing their instrumentation- Op.108- violin/piano). Done to order, surely, but still.)
