Title: Rudolf Moser Piano Concerto etc.
Post by: Mark Thomas on Tuesday 12 March 2024, 11:47
A new CD featuring the estimable Oliver Triendl playing Rudolf Moser's Piano Concerto, coupled with various of Moser's orchestral works, is imminent from Hänssler - details and audio samples her (https://www.prestomusic.com/classical/products/9600341--rudolf-moser). Moser is a new name to me but his idiom, although clearly 20th century, seems to be within UC's area of interest.

New to me too. Very attractive music from the available soundbites.

Mildly neo-classical, perhaps?

Yes, I'd say so, but I've always quite liked that idiom.

Somehow, somewhere I had come across his name but had never heard any of his really rather attractive music. There is a Rudolf Moser Stiftung (http://www.moser-stiftung.ch), the website has biographical and discographical information and downloadable work lists etc.

I assume this is the same Moser:

This CD has been uploaded to YT, apparently by I Tempi.

Yes, Moser another pupil of Reger. Seem to be lots of them coming out of the woodwork recently!
