NB My Dutch is inexistant, but google translate works pretty well from Dutch to English! (Less so to French)

I've just uploaded it. I got it from the replay section of radio 4. If there are blips, which I didn't check, it's radio 4's fault!

As Le Timbre d'Argent is now available commercially, or will be very soon, I've removed the downloaded files from mediafire.

In his book "La véritable histoire de César Franck" (Flammarion, 1955), Léon Vallas mentions two concertos for piano and orchestra (composed 1836/37 Op. 9 and Op. 11, the second one is available on Naxos) and a symphony Op. 13. He adds that a note on the score suggests that it had been executed or at least deciphered by the "Société philharmonique d'Orléans" on February 16, 1841. This seems to imply that the score, or a part of it, should exist somewhere. I've read elsewhere (http://musiqueorguequebec.ca/catal/franck/fraccatc.html) that the key of Op. 13 is G major.

You're right. Hulda is from 1881-1885, first performance Monte-Carlo, March 1894.

Thank you, Hadrianus! It's it indeed, Tchaikovsky's 1st piano concerto! I couldn't keep it out of my mind... How did Franck get this theme? (Tchaikovsky' 1st P.C. 1874 and Franck's Hulda 1879)

Please, help me! What is this theme in act 2, at 29 minutes (danse des Epées)!

Martini's requiem was first performed at the Royal Basilica of Saint-Denis for the transfer of the remains of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette on 21 January 1815, and was performed again the following year. As Napoléon's first abdication occurred on 6 April 1814, it is presumed that Martini reworked a previous Requiem composed in 1811 (under Napoléon!)
The same day, 21 January 1815, another Requiem to the memory of Louis XVI, by Neukomm, was performed  in Vienna, during the Congress of Vienna.
Also to the memory of Louis XVI, Cherubini's first Requiem was performed on 21 January 1817.

L'étranger can still be downloaded from Qobuz for example.

It's requiem for Louis XVI...

I recommend the 2-CD recording of his 3 quartets and sextet by Quatuor Joachim. They range from his Franckian period (1 and 2) to his neo-classical period (3 and sextet). I'm not sure the physical CDs are still available, but it can still be downloaded.

I've recorded and uploaded it. I didn't listened to it yet. I hope the quality is fair. See downloads.

Recordings & Broadcasts / Re: Magnard Symphony no 1
Sunday 29 March 2020, 17:17
I got both 1-2 and 3-4. They are worth listening. They are played more "nervously" than Plasson did. The sound is definitely much better, especially in Hi-Res. The rest of Magnard's orchestral music is to be released in April.
They are on special from Qobuz (€ 3.50 CD quality and € 4.50 Hi-Res each).

I know of two recordings.
One by Charles Delvallée (Arion) and the other one by Olivier Gardon (Timpani). Both available on Amazon.
