Title: Pál Kadosa (1903-83)
Post by: a.b. on Tuesday 28 September 2010, 10:38
Recently I heard a viny of the syphfonies no 6 & 7 by Pál Kados. I was impressed very much! Are there some other frinds of his music? Does anyone have some records? His vinyls by Hungaroton are hardly to find. Any suggestion how to get them or to get his music transfered in digital? Thank you very much!

I think I heard a symphony or 2 of his on LP some years back and liked them, yes :)
There has been a little of his music on CD- some piano music on Hungaroton back in 2001, possibly some other recordings (Worldcat.org lists several works as 'CD audio' and then when one looks closer they prove to be LPs, which is not very helpful of them, though the CDs are probably just as unavailable.)  JPC.de lists the piano music recording as available for purchase or for download http://www.classicsonline.com/catalogue/product.aspx?pid=225144 (http://www.classicsonline.com/catalogue/product.aspx?pid=225144) here, though, anyway- one sees it has two of his piano sonatas, and other works. :)
