Composers & Music / Dimitrie Cuclin (1885-1978)
Sunday 07 August 2011, 15:25
Thank you very much for all the fine material uploaded here!
I have been enjoying music by Nicodé and Kaun, among others.

Does anyone have any orchestral music by Dimitrie Cuclin (1885-1978) to upload?

Thanks.

/Anders

Dear All,

I marvel at the contents of the Hofmeister XIX web catalogue (http://www.hofmeister.rhul.ac.uk/), and since I would like to try to find copies of some piano works listed there I wonder if you could inform me about music libraries with especially large collections of printed, romantic piano music.

I realize that it can be (very) hard to locate much of the piano music from Hofmeister XIX catalogue, but I would like to give it a try.

Kind Regards,
Anders

Composers & Music / Francesco de Vico (1805-1848)
Saturday 24 October 2009, 16:03
Dear Forum members,

Perhaps someone could help me with this one?

In my search for astronomers/composers I've come across Francesco de Vico (1805-1848), who was a Jesuit and director of the Collegio Romano observatory. He discovered numerous comets, among other things. He was also a choral conductor and composer of sacred vocal music, and I've been able to find a reference to one published work of his:

Antiphons and Responses of Matins and Lauds for the Last Three Days of Holy Week (London : Cary, 1877)

The information about the publication has been taken from the Franz Pazdirek handbook and from http://www.kirchenlexikon.de/v/vico_f.shtml.
Is the work available in a library somewhere, perhaps?

Thanks,
Anders
