As can be fairly readily noticed Josephs wrote a huge amount of music, much of it of an occasional nature. There are however twelve symphonies(four of which are in our own Archive here), a number of concertos and the important Requiem. He is another composer who does not deserve the almost complete oblivion into which his music seems to have sunk.

One TV series for which he wrote the theme music was "I, Claudius" (which I have been watching recently on DVD). A fine theme, too.
