Title: Antonio Fragoso (1897-1918)

Does anyone know of Antonio Fragoso (1897-1918), a Portuguese composer? I have just purchased his chamber works with violin (Piano Trio in c# minor, Violin Sonata in D, and Suite Romantique for violin and piano), and they sound fresh and idiosyncratic, but still romantic. I understand he was self-taught before entering the Lisboa Conservatoire, and of course, before his untimely death from influenza.

Apparently he composed 100+ compositions. All I could find was the piano album by Henriques, the song cycles (Poeme saturniens, Songs of Sunset, both on Youtube in live versions), and an orchestral Nocturne.

Figures, the one time I didn't check for earlier threads...

Hmm, I see you didn't get a response as well. It seems we both enjoyed the CD. I'm working my way through the songs now.
