Fewer of them, but I see a few things maybe. Some of these possibly mentioned already- apologies!
February 4, Konzerthuset Stockholm Stora Salen: Andrée's 2nd organ symphony & Stenhammar's serenade (Tobias Ringborg/Royal Stockholm Philharmonic. Will be livestreamed.) (The similar 3 February concert with Stravinsky instead of Andrée has been cancelled. Hopefully not the 4th.)
April 24/25 evening: Berwald symphony no.1 - Bamberg Symphony conducted by Herbert Blomstedt (Konzerthalle Bamberg, Joseph Keilberth Halle)
May 28: Concert that contains Suk's Asrael symphony (https://rso.orf.at/programm/3809) in Vienna, Vienna Symphony conducted by Jakub Hrůša (who is conducting big Janacek/Suk/Smetana concerts from April 14-16 - see Bachtrack (https://bachtrack.com/concert-event/jakub-hrusa-conducts-janacek-suk-smetana-czech-philharmonic-rudolfinum-dvorak-hall-14-april-2021/337803) - with the Czech Philharmonic in the Dvorak Hall in Prague.)
According to its website, the frauenkomponiert festival is scheduled to take place in London and various Swiss cities, with the Basel concert on 8 March to be broadcast live, Jessica Horsley conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra in a programme including Lilian Elkington's 'Out of the Mist' and Dorothy Howell's 'Koong Shee Ballet', both from 1921. I very much doubt this can go ahead, though. Early March is much too soon. Details here (https://frauenkomponiert.ch/en/frauenkomponiert-2021/).
I'm glad to see the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players are still a going thing - Robert Kahn's serenade in F minor op.73 will be performed February 22 together with Hiller's late string trio and Xaver Scharwenka's 2nd piano trio; March 8 is a concert with chamber works by Zelenski, Moniuszko, Lessel and Szymanowski; on March 22 works by Gustav Jenner (clarinet/piano trio) and Goetz (piano quintet) feature, while Baussnern's 1898 serenade and Max Bruch's A minor string quintet (one of 2) shows up on April 5. (April 12 has works by Kralik, Le Beau, Amanda Maier, and Rosalind Ellicott.) The usual for this ensemble, if not for everyone else; I wish I were downstate again.
Feb.24 in Milan (Conservatorio di Milano - Sala Verdi) there may be a concert containing Myaskovsky's cello sonata no.2 (1948 but very Romantic) with works by Brahms and Schumann as well (Enrico Dindo, Carlo Guaitoli.) May have been cancelled. Not sure...

Another performance of Raff's sinfonietta seems to be scheduled for 8 April, to be broadcast live - François Leleux conducting the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. See description. (https://www.sco.org.uk/events/raff-clyne-strauss)
(may edit and add things here soon...)
BTW while searching for some information for another thread, I found the concert-calendar of the Verband Deutsche Konzertchöre (it seems they performed Vaughan Williams' sea symphony some years back with some German? conductor I've never heard of). They are performing Suppé's requiem in G minor this November 3rd in Braunschweig's St. Jakobi-Kirche.
For those in Melbourne, Australia, Harold Fabrikant is re-embarking on his series of three concerts covering the complete piano works of Louis Vierne (1870-1937). The series, planned to commemorate Vierne's 150th birthday in 2020, had to be aborted after the first concert, due to you-know-what. Concert dates and works are given below; the concerts are in Melba Hall at the Parkville campus and entry is free, but booking is essential. The booking link is here (https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/louis-vierne-18701937-solo-piano-concert-series-tickets-142201844545) and the password is PIANO21

Interesting concert in Bilbao on 15 March with Tailleferre, Beach and Robert Schumann chamber works - see this description (https://bachtrack.com/concert-event/musica-de-camara-con-la-bos-tailleferre-y-beach-palacio-euskalduna-sala-0b-15-march-2021/341550), of interest here maybe for the Beach theme and variations op.80.
Farrenc's first symphony, as I think someone's mentioned, is or was going to be performed in Stockholm on 31 March at Konserthuset Stockholm conducted by Antonello Manacorda, according to BachTrack; I will try to check whether this is still happening. Ah, here, and unlike a number of similar Leipzig concerts which are cancelled, no mention on the website of the venue of cancellation. Konserthuset.se (https://www.konserthuset.se/en/programme/calendar/concert/2021/romantic-symphonies/20210331-1800/) which links a livestream- something to look forward to if, like me, one enjoys Farrenc's orchestral music (even if not as much as her chamber music, still, still good.)
Been awhile, I know, sorry! I'm not positive these concerts haven't been cancelled but will try to get closer knowledge than just a link from Bachtrack or thelike, etc.
Piano works by d'Indy, Magnard, and others (https://www.theatreducapitole.fr/affichage-evenement/-/event/event/6018728) in Toulouse this Saturday July 10th.
Another performance by Lawrence Equilbey conducting, Farrenc symphony no.3, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (https://www.barcelona-metropolitan.com/events/veronika-eberle-laurence-equilbey/) on July 15th in Barcelona.
On April 30 and May 1, 2022, the Southern Arizona Symphony will be giving the Moszkowski Piano Concerto no. 2 along with much more familiar Dvorak.

The BBC Proms 2021 feature some lesser-known romantic works:
Zemlinski Clarinet trio (2 August)
Respighi Concerto gregoriano (4 August)
Ruth Gipps: Sympony 2 (5 August – seems late romantic to me, but others might disagree – Wikipedia says she never departed from late romantic style. Sounds Sibelius-esque to my ears harmony-wise – available on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5M8rHZdehQ))
24 Aug 2021: Chineke! Orchestra
Samuel Coleridge-Taylor
Hiawatha's Wedding Feast – overture(11 mins)
Fela Sowande
African Suite(23 mins)
Florence Price
Piano Concerto in One Movement(20 mins)
interval
Samuel Coleridge-Taylor
Symphony in A minor(35 mins)
Ruth Gipps: Sea-Shore suite (30 Aug)
Vaughan Williams: Three Portraits from "The England of Elizabeth" (2 Sep)
Korngold: Symphony in F# (John Wilson & Sinfonia of London! – 4 Sep)
Best wishes, ewk
what's the 1921 Respighi concerto doing there? have you heard it or are you just assuming?
I've heard it and I would certainly call it "Romantic".
Concert - 19th Nov, 2021. Tonhalle St. Gallen, Switzerland
Reinecke - Piano Concerto No. 1 in F-sharp minor, Op. 72
Simon Callaghan (piano), Sinfonieorchester St Gallen, Modestas Pitrenas
This follows his recordings of Reinecke's Piano Concertos 1, 2 & 4 with the same forces [15th Nov - 19th Nov]. I'm so looking forward to this volume. Anyone have a clue as to what is next in RPC pipeline?
Beautiful concert yesterday at Versailles. An audience of no more than 50! But it was outdoors (well, almost) and it was raining! Gary Hoffmann (cello) and David Selig (piano) played sonatas by Boëllmann and Godard, as well as a short piece by Milhaud, Elégie. The encore was not-so-unsung Fauré's Elegie...
Just ran across this chamber concert in Freiburg (Germany) this weekend:
https://theater.freiburg.de/de_DE/spielplan/8-kammerkonzert.16823765
Louis Spohr: Großes Nonett F-Dur, op. 31/2
Alexander Ernst Fesca: Septett Nr. 2 d-Moll, op. 28
Both early Romantic, but probably suitable for this forum.
We've discussed the Fesca work here recently enough for that to be the case I'm sure?
Early romantic = romantic.
Early romances (like settings of Orlando furioso) not always, of course ;^)
Romances, like symphonies, aren't necessarily romantic - of course. Some are even medieval!
Somewhat short-term, but interesting:
On 22 July the Orquestra Simfónica Camera Musicae plays in Tarragona with Christoph Schlüren conducting. Soloists are Raquele Magalhães, flute, and Joel Bardolet, violin:
Johann Sebastian BACH: Fugue in G minor BWV 578
Reinhard SCHWARZ-SCHILLING: 'Da Jesus an dem Kreuze stund' for violin, flute and strings
Johann Sebastian BACH: Violin Concerto in G minor 1056
Wolfgang Amadé MOZART: Fantasia in F minor KV 608 (arr. Edwin Fischer)
Giorgio Federico GHEDINI: 'Canto, o della solitudine' for flute solo
Douglas LILBURN: 'Canzona ' for flute and string pizzicato
Nicolas FLAGELLO: 'Furanna' for flute solo
Paul BÜTTNER: Symphony for strings (String Quartet) in G minor
https://www.orquestracameramusicae.com/es/programas/bach-mozart-i-la-simfonia-de-paul-buttner/
What an adventurous programme! Even Douglas Lilburn gets an outing from the Antipodes.
and the string quartet (even if arranged- hopefully not cut, like some "symphony" arrangements of quartets (I'm looking at you, William Walton's "Sonata for Strings!") are) of Büttner, too. I'm envious. That work looks good in score...
Do not worry, Büttner's quartet was played complete. Christoph Schlüren (who is maybe the greatest expert on Douglas Lilburn in Germany, too) had performed the entire work 2017 with the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss as a string symphony. The project in Tarragona will result in a recording of the Büttner Quartet in this arrangement.
For Draeseke friends:
29 August, 11:00 am, "Grieg-Begegnungsstätte" Leipzig:
Edvard Grieg: Sonata for violoncello and piano in A minor op. 36
Felix Draeseke: Sonata for violoncello and piano in D major op. 51
Klang-Duo:
Che-Wei Kuo, violoncello
Shenzi Liang, piano
https://www.edvard-grieg.de/events/konzert-mit-dem-klang-duo
The Cello Sonata is one of Draeseke's finest pieces. Gloriously lyrical.
Agreed about the Draeseke.
According to Konserthuset (https://www.konserthuset.se/en/programme/festivals--themes/stenhammar-150-years/?utm_medium=banner&utm_source=bachtrack&utm_campaign=khs-stenhammar&utm_content=dt-200x200-stenhammar) there's a fair amount of Stenhammar coming up later this month in honor of his anniversary (1871- 150 years), and at least some of it will probably be streamed as well.
Pfitzner and Kaminski in Winterthur:
26 November 2021, Stadthaus Winterthur
Hans Pfitzner: Kleine Sinfonie op. 46
Heinrich Kaminski: Orchesterkonzert mit Klavier
Franz Schubert: Symphony in C major D 944
Simone Keller, piano
Musikkollegium Winterthur
Jac van Steen, conductor
https://heinrich-kaminski.de/?ds=1037
Annual festivals are good to watch for this, when not cancelled by expletive pandemics. The Indian Summer in Levoça festival in the past had a lot of terrific stuff to judge from Youtube, and will be heard from again, exact schedule to be announced I gather, in early October.
Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari oratorio "La Vita Nuova" (quoted and praised in 2016 in the thread "I Gioielli della Madonna") will be performed next 29th October in Torino (Teatro Regio chorus and orchestra plus soloists, conductor D.Renzetti).
That's a real rarity. And a remarkably beautiful and moving piece IMHO.
Neat! Since first hearing of that oratorio and now I've gone and read an English translstion of the Dante. I hope they'll add to its small discography.
The Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players on September 27th in NYC are performing works by Robert Fuchs, Aaron Copland, George Gershwin, Antonín Dvorak, and Rubin Goldmark. Their 8 November program contains Raff's string sextet.
Also, I don't recall this concert (https://bachtrack.com/concert-event/tchaikovsky-and-prokofiev-iceland-symphony-orchestra-harpa-concert-hall-eldborg--main-hall-14-october-2021/353819) being mentioned, in which Emilie Mayer's 7th symphony is being performed tomorrow night in Reykjavik.
This may be as almost-known as Korngold, so perhaps I shouldn't include it, but this weekend in Berlin will see two performances (https://bachtrack.com/concert-event/gabriel-feltz-and-elisabeth-kulman-bamberg-symphony-konzerthalle-bamberg-joseph-keilberth-saal-16-october-2021/355053) of Franz Schmidt's 2nd symphony (with works by Takemitsu and Mahler.)
There's one or two upcoming performances of works by Augusta Holmès in the near future, including La nuit et l'amour on Sunday in Paris (https://bachtrack.com/concert-event/saint-saens-metamorphoses-orchestre-lamoureux-salle-gaveau-17-october-2021/356197). And the upcoming Jupiter Symphony Chamber (https://bachtrack.com/concert-event/jupiter-symphony-chamber-players-expats-in-france-good-shepherd-faith-presbyterian-church-18-october-2021/355512) concert contains not only Kalkbrenner's quintet but the trio op.31 (1861) by Thomas Tellefsen.
This coming weekend I'm in for a treat: two works by Reger. I've never heard anything by Reger in concert, but now all of the sudden I get two. First to the Flagstaff Symphony for a performance of Variations on a theme by Mozart. Then in Scottsdale on Sunday the intrepid Musica Nova Orchestra will give Variations on a Theme by Beethoven. 2021 is of no anniversary importance to Reger, neither is the October programming. But I'll take both! Who knows if I'll ever hear Reger - surely an unsung master - again.
Neat!! For all the Reger in my collection I think I may have heard one flute serenade live in concert and I'm not positive about that...
The Constanze Quartet, who completed their excellent cycle of Draeseke quartets recently, will play string quartets by Felix Woyrsch, Joaquin Turina and Darius Milhaud on 20 December 2021 in the Stadthalle of Neumünster in northern Germany. The Woyrsch work is String Quartet No. 2 in C minor, op. 63. As we can read in this newsletter, the Constanze Quartet plans a recording of Woyrsch's Piano Quintet together with pianist Oliver Triendl:
https://www.neumuenster.de/fileadmin/neumuenster.de/media/kultur_und_freizeit/kultur/theater/theater_in_der_stadthalle/Theaterprogramm_NMS_2021-22.pdf (page 39)
The concert was first planned for 2020, but could not be realised then due to Covid restrictions. Here is the 2020 program, which showed a quartet by Lucien Durosoir instead of Turina:
https://www.neumuenster.de/fileadmin/neumuenster.de/media/kultur_und_freizeit/stadtbuecherei/musik/Jubilaeum_Musikbibliothek_Programm.pdf
Woyrsch's 1st symphony, what's more, is getting 3 live performances in the near future starting next month (https://bachtrack.com/concert-event/ecos-de-la-belle-epoque-iii-orquesta-sinfonica-de-rtve-teatro-monumental-11-november-2021/350865). ... Huh.
interesting concerts from 2022 have already been announced in schedules (Taneev At the Reading of a Psalm, Carnegie Hall, 1/28/22, e.g.), suggesting that someone should start a new thread. (Ariadne?)
btw Bristow's Arcadian symphony was performed at Carnegie Hall on Nov.18 (Botstein/Orchestra NOW) uncut, I read.
Gosh, Eric, those are really unusual concert items. It's heartening to see.
A few weeks ago Botstein and his youth Orchestra Now performed Bristow's 4th Symphony. They did it in NYC and also at Bard. The concert from the Fisher Center is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87yj2LL4Wqc
waiting for the 2022 thread..this one is coming pretty soon (if covid-related problems don't intrude, of course
Feb 7 , 2022 at the Teatro alla Scala, Milano: Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, conducted by Andris Nelsons.
Besides more mainstream stuff (Bruckner 7), not one but two pieces of unsung interest: Julius Klengel's "Hymnus" and Arthur Nikisch's Orchestral Fantasy.
Very curious about the Klengel, I love the concerti.
For the string quartet concert in Neumünster on 20 December a change in the program had been made: The Constanze Quartet will play a quartet by Emilie Mayer instead of Turina.
Re the Arcadian Symphony: Kyle Gann has uploaded his full score edition, on which the new performances are based, to IMSLP for reading (though only specific, I suspect non-commercial/non-performance-related-without permission?, use by others - "Public Domain (dedicated)".) See Symphony No.4, Op.50 (Bristow) (https://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_No.4,_Op.50_(Bristow,_George_Frederick)). (Is that you, @scarpia ? Sorry 'bout.)
I got to hear MacDowell's Piano Concerto No. 2 in Concord, MA over the weekend. There were more people in the orchestra than the audience Friday. Randall Hodgkinson was the pianist.
It'll be the Grieg next time, then. Sad.
Oh dear, what a pity. It may not be on a par with the Grieg but it's still a fine concerto, worthy of an audience.
I have some good ones coming up. Guillaume Lekeu's Adagio pour quatuor d'orchestre in Boston Friday. The Glazunov Violin Concerto Saturday in Albany. Back to Boston Sunday for the Voříšek Symphony in D Major.
