Quote from: BerlinExpat on Thursday 17 November 2022, 15:07SAINT-SAËNS's Déjanire was performed in Monte Carlo on 16th October this year. A studio recording was made during the previous week!

Do you know if there is any update on the release of this recording? It is mentioned here - https://bru-zane.com/en/evento/dejanire-2/ - but with no details.

It is said on the Palazzetto Bru Zane website about Saint-Saëns's "Déjanire": Recording for the 'French opera' series - Bru Zane Label

Actually I have made a recording but it contains at least one gap. May be it was a problem with the audio stream itself. This recording Will be broadcasted on DLF Kultur on March 4th. I personally prefer to wait for this version.

I really hope that someone was able to record this broadcast.

Hello!
Could you also post the recordings of two Flotow's compositions that were broadcasted in this program?

All three pieces are parts of 1874 version of "Orphée aux Enfers". "Ballet pastoral" from Act I and "Divertissement des songes et des heures" from the beginning of Act II can be heard (in slightly abridged form, I suppose) in Michel Plasson's recording (https://www.allmusic.com/album/offenbach-orph%C3%A9e-aux-enfers-mw0001840123) of this version. Ballet "Le Royaume de Neptune" was added by Offenbach at the end of Act III on 14 August 1874. This piece remained unpublished until recently.
The Deutschlandfunk Kultur broadcast also contained the 1874 overture and Carl Binder's overture.

May be it will be recorded... Like other operas by polish composers of XIX century.

CD is available a long time ago. I've already listened to it, now going to watch the DVD version.

Wikipedia says about the grand opera version of 1913. May be vocal score from Gallica refers to it along with 4th act ballet (wich could be cut for the 1914 performance).

I've listened to the broadcast and think it is an undoubted masterpiece of French opera, from the brilliant overture to the magnificent choral finale. I've checked the complexity with 1913 year-vocal score: there are some cuts in the last act, including ballet scene. But I'm not sure this is the same version as was staged in La Monnaie.

Thank you!

Thanks for the recording!
I thing, it is good also to post the recording of "Cavalleria rusticana" from the same performance.
