The Requiem by Kozlovsky would be fantastic, but where do you see that mentioned?

It's mentioned here (it's always worth doing a website search - sometimes one has to be Sherlock Holmes!):

The conductor is to be Alexander Vedernikov.

I hope they record the Kozlovsky! The existing commercially available recording is plodding and lifeless so I hope they do a better job and show what this work could be.

The two concerts will be recorded for CD release. It will be the original version of the Requiem.

And what is meant to be the "original version" of the Kozlovsky Requiem in that new concert?
Anyone who is interested in a private copy of the Melodiya CD can contact me :-)

As mentioned in other threads on this, the bootleg copy which is in circulation is much better in terms of performance - full of life and drama -  but worse technical sound quality.

The Russian 1988 recording has a lot of added percussion and not based on the original manuscript.
The concert and recording in 2021 will be based on the original manus.

Thanks Friedhofer.
The usual Russian custom to add extra percussion - a theme we already discussed in earlier threads in connection with Scriabin's Symphonies and Tchaikovsky's "Manfred"...

Of all choir works in the whole literature I only adore Beethoven's Missa Solemnis as much as this Kozlovsky Requiem (well, maybe also Brahms' Requiem)!! I still remember how I first heard it about 3 years ago for the first time - it shattered me in my innermost being! It is a miracle and I cannot believe that this composer has not written anything else noteworthy ...)

There is an LP on the way to me with Overtures, perhaps there is something among them too :-)
