As regards the Piano Concerto it was recorded for the Polish Radio archives in 70-ies by Aleksandra Utrecht.

No idea.
Two/three years ago the Symphonic suite op. 17 "Pan Tadeusz" have been registered. ,,Pan Tadeusz" is an iconic romantic poem by Adam Mickiewicz, a work that you get to know at school. The opening fragment is known by all Poles

Hi all,
with Szeluto nothing is clear.
in the archive section of UC I quoted a part from the booklet of DUX CD with Szluto's chamber music

" In Szeluto's CV the truth was mixed with the fiction: the titles of his compositions and the fact of their existence were actually true. Later, since the end of the 1940's, as a result of the composer's developing depression, his operas and symphonies contained only titles and several words or notes (e.g. his opera in five acts filled two pages). The performances and recordings of his Majestic Peace Symphony were rather invented by Szeluto. He even failed to provide its instrumentation. The songs with political undertones (Stalin's Oath on lenin's Grave etc.) listed by Szeluto, were probably never written. A fairly detailed catalogue of Szeluto's compositions, prepared by Tadeusz Szantruczek, does not mention such titles. [...] The most important and probably the most accurate comments [on his music] were those by Feruccio Busoni stating that Szeluto's works "were one of a kind" and by Fritz Kresiler writing that his compositions are completely different than anything else".

In the accompanying note on YT it was said the following:
"West Side Sinfonietta is an ensemble founded on the initiative of musicians from the NFM (National Forum of Music) Wrocław Philharmonic and the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Szczecin. The instrumentalists of both  institutions from the western region of  Poland exchange various artistic experiences. The orchestra is not traditionally led by a conductor, but by violinists. This function is performed by the concertmasters Marcin Danilewski and Paweł Maślanka, who together with the excellent double bass player Jacek Sosna constitute the backbone of the ensemble".

When distributing information about the coming concert, I did not have any additional details about the size of the orchestra. I also did not know the CD in question. I myself was surprised that a pianist was also involved in the violin concerto and Spanish Dances. For me it is quite interesting, because for decades I have been collecting recordings of piano concertos and other works for piano and orchestra. Thus, two additional pieces joined the collection.

Anyhow the evening was quite pleasant.

"We cordially invite you to a concert promoting the latest album of the West Side Sinfonietta Orchestra. The album with works by Moritz Moszkowski was premiered in July 2020. Although the concert plans have been disturbed by a pandemic, we come back with great compositions, repeating the question once asked by "The Musical Courier": "who is not impressed by the charm of these melodies?"

Recordings & Broadcasts / Re: Michał Bergson

On the reproduction of the manuscript given on the booklet cover and inside the booklet we can read "1iere Concerto" what in French means 1st Concerto.  This suggests that Bergson may have composed another concerto / other concertos - possibly for other solo instruments. There is no mention about this in the booklet notes. Perhaps eschiss1 has more information.

Yes, I confirm that fortepian in Polish means exclusively piano (grand piano).
As to fortepiano (predecessor of piano) it is also in Polish called fortepiano.

Recordings & Broadcasts / Michał Bergson

Hi All,

Very intriguing news from the DUX label.
Recording of the completely unsung Polish composer Michał Bergson (1820-1898) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micha%C5%82_Bergson
Among others we have his Piano Concerto op. 62 played by Jonathan Plowright with the Poznan Philharmonic Orchestra under Łukasz Borowicz.
I await it with great interest!

Hi all.
Last Sunday here in Warsaw at the Warsaw University of Music Mr. Artur Słotwiński, a member of our UC society,  gave a first - after over 150 years - presentation of the B minor (the second) Piano concerto by Józef Władysław Krogulski of 1831.
From the concert note we can learn that only the complete piano part survived and was kept for decades by the Krogulski's family. Only recently Mr. Słotwiński succeded to get it from them.
Having the piano part he did make the new orchestration based on other pieces by Krogulski.
I hope that Mr Artur Słotwiński will also publish the registration of that performance on his channel on YT.
Music sounds very attractive with bravura passages and with lovely tunes.
Let us wait.

Acte Prealable announces recording of the Piano Concerto no. 5 by Raul Koczalski.
http://www.acteprealable.com/index.html
"Raul Koczalski – once again (Słupsk, September 13th 2019). As I have mentioned before, I won't rest until Koczalski's entire creative output is discovered. There are many who are helping me in my endeavour. The first person helping me is the tireless artistic director of the Polish Pianism Festival in Słupsk, Jap Popis, who included the premiere of Koczalski's Piano Concerto nr 5 in the festival's program."

Hi Christopher.
Thank you for putting the two pieces in the download section.
Please note that the correct name of one of the composers is PUchalski - not to be missed with another Polish composer and pianist Henryk PAchulski  :)
