Hello, this is my first topic on this forum (and hopefully not a duplicate)...
Has anyone been following Melodiya's Russian Piano Anthology? If so what are the highlights for you? I've purchased the first two volumes and I'm especially looking forward to more Scriabin-esque works from unfamiliar composers.

Several of the volumes are out of this site's remit (Vols 1, 7, 9-11). However, the Lyapunov, Arensky and Gliere are all attractive collections. If the series continues I hope they go back to more late-romantic era repertoire - Blumenfeld, Cui, even Pabst and doubtless others.
If it was just the Lyapunov I think I'd wait for the complete recordings that Florian Noack has embarked upon - there is some delicious playing in volume 1

and he recorded volume 2 just before Christmas.
Does anyone know the repertoire for his next volume?
Hmm, it appears I pasted the wrong link. I was actually referring to the Anthology of Piano Music by Russian and Soviet Composers series by Melodiya of which there are currently only 7 volumes. I've edited the link.
Just to emphasise hammyplay's point: please do remember that much, if not most of the music featured in the Melodiya series falls outside the remit of UC. Please observe our guidelines, available here:
