Some good and long awaited news. William Sterndale-Bennett's 6th piano concerto composed in 1843 has finally been recorded along with the concerto for two pianos composed jointly with McFarren. Also on the recording is a new rendering of the fourth piano concerto. The conductor is Martin Yates and the pianists are Simon Callaghan and Hiro Tachenouchi. The recording is due for release on January 3 on the Lyrita label.
