My remastered version of Prudent's 1st concerto:
Still hunting for the orchestral parts of his 2nd concerto with no luck. If anyone has the means to acquire them, I'd appreciate it.
A good first step in finding out whether an orchestral score even existed to begin with would be to find Prudent's Inventaire après décès (inventory after death) which should be held in the Archives Nationales in Paris (in the Minutier central des notaires de Paris). Alternatively, you might approach the Bibliothèque Nationale to see whether any score is held in the Brandus collections. The manuscript collection has unfortunately only very partly been made accessible through Gallica.
Back to the G minor, I'd ignored this one the first time around for some reason; to my own detriment, because this a thoroughly attractive piece. Thanks!
