It is now confirmed on the Naxos homepage that the Gävle Symphony Orchestra will record two symphonies by Joachim Eggert for Naxos!

Good news, indeed! ;D

Excellent. Very impressive symphonies both of them, the recording of which should do a lot to stimulate interest in Eggert. Well done, Syrelius!

Yes, very good news.  They will record the E-flat and C-major symphonies in the fall of 2009.   The C-minor and G-minor symphonies will be recorded in 2010.

The Gavle Symphony performed Eggert's C-major symphony on 19 September 2009.  Anyone get a chance to be there??
